With fulfillment-based programs such as these, HMI doubles down on the execution, making sure the trip is flawless from arrival to departure. As with any plan, this doesn’t necessarily mean that all things go as intended, but holding accountability to our staff, our suppliers, and our vendors while being able to think quickly is how on-site obstacles are conquered.
Because excursions are often the life of a group travel program, a full group activity is always included. A beach location will typically include an exclusive catamaran/snorkel excursion. International locations will more likely offer special sightseeing and/or cultural excursions. There are often more selective excursions available, too. Because the client is a global organization, with attendees hailing from every corner of the world, HMI offers a selection of activities that cater to their individual interests. These excursions may include:
-
- Local tours and shopping
- Tasting tours
- Museum visits
- Horseback riding
- Ziplining
- Golf
- Spa treatments
- Water activities such as white-water rafting, kayaking, surfing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, sailing, and fishing
The incorporation of Corporate Social Responsibility activities is always well-received. On-site event functions are also enhanced with experiences such as:
-
- Cooking
- Wine tasting
- Olive oil tasting
- Painting
In addition to activities, nightly room gifts are a must, which have included champagne and local wines, specially prepared baskets with local specialties, surprise afternoon room-service delivery.
Well-known brand items have included sweet treats from Godiva, L.A. Burdick, and La Maison du Chocolat. Brands that support the local economy such as Hawaiian Cookie Company, Aruba Aloe, and Genuinely Bahamian to name a few have been featured as well as items commissioned by local artisans.
Other gifts have included:
-
- Yeti tumblers and coolers
- Tiffany jewelry and crystal
- Chelsea clocks
- Bose headphones and wireless speakers
- Apple earbuds
- Maui Jim sunglasses
- Simon Pearce glassworks
HMI also includes locally produced items to enhance the trip experience while supporting the local economy.
The Client was the first to beta test our trip app, TripBuzz, upon its launch, and they loved it. It has been incorporated into their program every year since. Generally, a photo contest is run using the app, which has been very well received. TripBuzz can also host a survey, allowing for immediate access to usable data by the client and HMI.
